The Rodrigo–Fernando family's relationship with music spans three generations — from Professor William Rodrigo, Sri Lanka's first Army bandmaster, to Professor Norbert Rodrigo, the father of Sinhala Baila music, to Master Ranjan Fernando himself. For this family, the instrument was never a hobby — it was a language passed down through generations.
Ranjan Fernando Piano Centre was founded in 1986 by Master Ranjan Fernando with one singular purpose — to bring world-class instruments to Sri Lankan homes, concert halls, and conservatories. Over four decades, it has grown into the island's premier piano specialist, trusted by professional pianists, leading institutions, and discerning families across the country.
