Prices vary by type, brand, and condition. Pre-owned upright pianos in our collection start from approximately LKR 300,000. Relative humidity in Sri Lanka changes a great deal between monsoon and dry seasons. As the wooden soundboard absorbs and releases moisture, string tension changes and the pitch shifts. Keep your piano in a stable environment, away from direct sunlight, damp locations and direct air-conditioning draughts. Use a hygrometer to monitor changes in humidity and follow the manufacturer’s care guidance. Ask our technician for advice suited to your piano and room.
If a piano has not been tuned for several years, its overall tension drops significantly below international standard pitch (A440). A pitch raise is a preliminary tensioning pass performed before fine tuning to improve tuning stability. The technician decides on the visit whether it is needed, and it is included in the LKR 5,000 tuning fee — there is no separate pitch-raise charge.
Strings can sometimes break during tuning, particularly where their condition has deteriorated. We explain the risk before starting and discuss whether you would like us to replace a string if needed. We keep replacement strings on hand and confirm the appropriate match for your piano. Any chargeable replacement is discussed and agreed before that work is carried out. The tuning fee remains LKR 5,000.
Yes. We tune and prepare grand pianos for concerts, recitals, recordings and events, timing the tuning as close to the performance as the venue allows. The tuning fee is LKR 5,000 overall; any extra concert preparation is quoted for each event. Book tuning service →

Every instrument is cocooned in thick quilted padding, secured with specialist transit straps, and transported in weather-sealed vehicles with hydraulic tail-lifts and non-marking rubber dollies.
We assess post-move tuning needs for each instrument and location. We confirm the recommended timing and whether follow-up tuning is included in your delivery quotation before you book.
